New proposed cybersecurity framework would apply to certain life sciences companies

A new proposed rule from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) would establish cybersecurity reporting requirements for certain entities – including, as proposed, certain medical device companies that manufacture Class II and Class III products and the manufacturers of 86 “critical” drug products.

CISA is an agency operating under the umbrella of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
