The lead member of parliament tasked with overseeing the CLP Regulation revamp has drafted a report evaluating the Commission’s proposed revision. Rapporteur Maria Spyraki of the center-right European People’s Party has included in the report nearly 60 amendments to the proposed regulation. These cover the deletion of rules for multi-constituent substances, financial aid for the essential oils supply chain, and the removal of label formatting requirements. Virtually all her suggested changes would contribute to a more business-friendly revision of the CLP.
