EPA proposes listing PFAS as TRI chemicals of concern and eliminating de minimis exemption

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a proposed rule to add all per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) covered by the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) to the list of Lower Thresholds for Chemicals of Special Concern. The EPA has also proposed eliminating the de minimis exemption for all Chemicals of Special Concern (including PFAS) for the Supplier Notification Requirements in order to provide more complete information of these chemicals in mixtures and products.
