EPA proposes ban on Trichloroethylene under TSCA

The Environmental Protection Agency has proposed a ban on all manufacture, import, processing, and distribution in commerce of trichloroethylene (TCE) and all industrial, commercial, and consumer uses of TCE. The proposal includes varied compliance timeframes, phaseouts, time-limited exemptions, and workplace controls for certain uses. The rule also proposes a ban on treatments for disposal of TCE.
