CISA cybersecurity framework seeks to cover wide array of chemical facilities

A newly proposed rule from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) would establish cybersecurity reporting requirements for many chemical facilities in a bid to improve the speed and detail at which cyber incidents are reported.

CISA is an agency operating under the umbrella of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). It is tasked with cyber defense in the U.S., and its mandate focuses on coordination of federal action and response, engaging with other entities and federal partners.
